After days of studying PredictWind forecasts, there is something deeply satisfying about dropping your shoulders, sitting down, and letting someone else take care of the details.
That is exactly what happened when we found C’est la Vie.
The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was quietly elegant. The woman serving the restaurant managed the entire dining room on her own with effortless grace. No rush. No stress. Just genuine hospitality that made every guest feel welcome.
The bouillabaisse was outstanding. Rich with the flavours of the sea, perfectly balanced, and prepared with the confidence that only comes from someone who truly understands the dish.
Dessert was a traditional French cherry cake, served with vanilla ice cream. Simple in appearance, unforgettable in taste. One of those desserts that makes you slow down, savour every bite, and wish the evening would last just a little longer.
We left walking on air.
C’est la Vie gave us one of those evenings we will remember long after Shetland has disappeared below the horizon.
